- Volunteer Chore Services: basic in-home assistance for low-income seniors and disabled adults of any age to help continue to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Services may include local transportation for appointments and errands, yard work, light housekeeping and laundry, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, wheelchair ramps, and wood provision.
- Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP): provides a retired and senior volunteer program (RSVP) that is designed for seniors over the age of 55 who want to use their skills or gain new ones by volunteering doing projects that assist children with needed school supplies and toy drives, food collection and delivery, critical services to elderly, and filling the gaps for critical needs in local communities.
- Senior Companion Program: senior companions provide support to isolated elders and persons with disabilities by helping with companionship, grocery shopping, answering mail, and other daily tasks that are essential to maintaining independence. Senior companions may qualify for a small stipend and mileage reimbursement to offset their expenses while they help those most vulnerable.

Makes safety and health related repairs to homes owned by seniors and disabled persons.
Provides health and safety-related repairs and accessibility modifications to homes of seniors and younger disabled persons. Assists with plumbing repairs, carpentry, minor roof repairs, sewer lines, ramp repairs, handrails, grab bars, smoke alarms, security devices/locks, and door/window repairs.
The program cannot assist with electrical repairs, remodeling, painting, yard work, trash hauling, cleaning, chore work, sewer or water connections, and appliance repair.

VS provides assistance to those who cannot afford to pay for the kinds of services we provide, do not qualify for assistance elsewhere, or do not have family and friends to help them. This program of CCS uses volunteers to provide a variety of services to low income seniors or disabled people over 18. Our volunteers provide services such as yard care, transportation, shopping, minor home repair, errands and more. This agency may be able to assist in installing handicapped devices including ramps and grab bars. Clients must be living independently in their homes. Services are subject to availability of volunteers. Cannot assist those living in assisted living facilities. Transportation is primarily for medical appointments, shopping and errands. Out of area transportation such as Seattle, Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend is possible, but is based on the availability of a volunteer.

Helps to repair and revitalize homes on the Long Beach Peninsula for low income homeowners with an emphasis on health, safety, and independence.
Helps to repair and revitalize homes on the Long Beach Peninsula that are the primary residence for low income homeowners. The program assists with repairs with an emphasis on addressing health, safety, and independence concerns. The home will be evaluated to make sure that it meets requirements for the program. Homeowners may have repairs completed on a sliding scale from no cost, half the cost, or the whole cost minus labor.

Volunteers provide yardwork, minor home maintenance, companionship, "friendly visiting" and light housekeeping for seniors ages 60 and older living on their own. Accepting clients from only the Greater Issaquah and Sammamish area currently.

Housing Help offered by Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County
Volunteers build houses for low-income families.
Volunteers build houses for low-income families who have been chosen on the basis of need for adequate shelter. Selected families must contribute 500 hours of sweat equity on the construction of the house which is then sold to them through a no profit, no interest mortgage. From the time a family is selected, to the time the project is completed, can be as long as one and 1/2 years.
Provides limited help for home repairs if the homeowner can contribute Sweat Equity hours representative of the size of the project.

Helps low-income homeowners in South King County make necessary home repairs for health and safety. Repairs include roofs, windows and exterior doors, gutters, siding, steps, ramps, walkways and driveways, landscaping, junk removal or exterior painting.
Provides critical and minor home repairs that alleviate health and safety issues for qualified homeowners in King and Kittitas Counties.
Also offers CAPABLE program to help older adults live safely in their home by partnering an Occupational Therapist and Registered Nurse together to set goals with the homeowner to achieve in a 4-5 month period. A handy-worker can potentially be involved to make minor repairs and modifications based on the goals set.

Hire a Worker offered by CASA Latina at Day Workers' Center
Offers skilled dependable workers trained in many fields including yard work, landscaping, construction, catering, housecleaning, packing and limited moving. Hourly wage starts at $30 per hour with a half day minimum.

Casa Latina workers do not provide moving trucks nor can they transport from one location to next. Client will need to provide all tools, materials, and safety equipment for the workers employed.
All Casa Latina workers have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training on health and safety in the work place and have their own personal protective equipment including work boots, rubberized cotton gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, and ear plugs.
Workers required to lift 50 to 100 lbs. have passed a strength and agility test.
All workers are screened in the national and King County sex offender registries.

Provides access to services that will reduce energy usage for qualifying low-income residents of Tacoma, including insulation and furnace repair.
Provides weatherization services to income qualified residents (owner occupied or renters) in the City of Tacoma.
Weatherization services include:
- Assessment of the homes insulation value,
- heat/cooling loss,
- Health & Safety (moisture, ventilation, carbon monoxide detectors) and
- test all gas appliances for safe operation.
Also providing Minor Home Repairs like:
- roof leaks,
- plumbing leaks,
- replacement of windows.
Weatherization helps give the peace of mind that a home is safe, healthier, comfortable and more energy efficient.

Offers several types of home repair programs that can make repairs or provide access to loans, for items in the home that pose health or safety hazards such as no heat, no water, and low-cost plumbing issues.
