Homeownership Program offered at Evergreen Habitat for Humanity
Provides an opportunity for families to build and buy their own homes. The houses are sold at no profit to homeowner families, who provide sweat equity labor to help build the houses. Also, offers a repair program for those in the 20-60% average medium income to helps with health and safety related repairs like roofs, ramps, ADA, leaking pipes, etc.

Attend orientation meeting to receive complete application.
Fee
Households are responsible for a closing fee of up to $3000. 0% down payment for closing costs. Mortgage lengths vary depending on income; Habitat adjusts the length of the mortgage so that the monthly mortgage payment (which includes taxes, insurance, and condo fees, if applicable) is no more than 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income at the time of sale.
Eligibility
Households currently living in substandard housing that meet all of the following requirements: - Meet income guidelines. - Are United States citizens or permanent residents. - Have not have owned a home in the past 3 years. - Have the ability to make a mortgage payment (steady income and decent credit history).
