Hire a Worker offered by Voz Workers' Rights Education Project at Voz Worker Center

Operates a Worker center where day laborers can be hired for projects such as yard work, moving, cleaning, painting, construction, etc. Day laborers are people of all trades and experiences. Voz has a bilingual dispatch team that ensures that workers are prepared and qualified for the job. Voz does not provide equipment and does not operate as an employer or contractor.

M-F, 7am-2pm Sa, 7am-12pm.

Application process

Call to schedule a worker or visit our website. Employers may also come to the Worker Center during service hours to pick up workers, but it is recommended to call ahead to ensure availability. Workers call to schedule an appointment with New Member Orientation.

Fee

Hourly wage starts at $20 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. Difficult jobs and projects that require a greater skill level will be priced higher. If the project is too small to meet this minimum, the price can be negotiated. No discounted or subsidized services.
