Young Adult Housing Program (YAHP) offered at Catholic Charities Serving Central WA on D Street
Offers a homeless prevention program for youth between the ages of 18-24 who are currently experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of being homeless in the city of Yakima.
Offers a rapid re-housing and homeless prevention program for youth and in the process will help develop a living plan and goals to live independently. Youth will be supported intensely in gaining skills in all life domains, including: housing, education, employment, relational development, and financial literacy. Provides subsidy-based housing on a graduated rent subsidy model in which the young adult will have responsibility in paying a portion of their rent.
YAHP is a scattered site program, and youth will be given help in locating and securing appropriate housing and entering into appropriate lease agreements. One of the main goals is for youth to be self-sufficient and independent; therefore, youth will be engaged in a very intensive, person-centered planning process in securing housing and learning skills.
Wrap Around Support Foundation for Youth Resiliency and Engagement (FYRE)
Provides a wide range of services for youth 12-24 years of age. Services focus on housing support, mental health support, education, healthcare, parenting, criminal/legal support, and advocacy.

- Advocates can help access services based on unique situation & need, such as transportation, phone cards, obtaining a State ID, food banks, DSHS benefit applications, and job search.

- Refers to Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare or online counseling for mental health support.
- Connects clients to criminal/legal support and services, such as defense attorneys, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, or Northwest Justice Project.
- Parenting support includes baby items, free books, referrals to child services, and more.
- Bilingual tutoring is available on site.

A broad continuum of housing programs through the housing resource center which provide rental assistance and counseling to at-risk or homeless families seeking permanent, stable housing.
Serves low-income households who are actively or attempting to flee from domestic violence. Provides access to housing and case management services in Pierce County. Must be referred by Coordinated Entry System in Pierce County. Call 2-1-1 for information on how to access.
Referrals are taken from Coordinated Entry ONLY.
Serves low-income households who are actively fleeing, or attempting to flee from domestic violence, and who have gone through the Coordinated Entry process. Provides access to permanent housing (rapid rehousing) and case management supportive services.
Families are able to choose their own housing locations as long as they remain in Pierce County.
Case Management services are designed to empower families to work towards independence and increase their self-sufficiency to retain their permanent housing and employment long-term.
Families pay a portion of their income towards the rent and Exodus Housing subsidizes the rest.
This continues on a monthly basis until the family is ready to exit.
Case Managers (CM) help the families secure housing and then create a housing stability goal/budget plan that assists them with long-term stability. Families meet with their CM on a regular basis, who provides them with access to community resources, referrals and wrap around service coordination. The goal is that families will increase their income through employment tor other sources so that at some point they can exit and pay the full rent on their own.
HEN (Housing and Essential Needs) offered at Share and Care House Puyallup
Provides HEN eligible client with rent and/or utility assistance. TANF or SSI/SSDI recipients are not eligible. Please see details.
Rental assistance and Essential Needs (HEN) individuals are deemed eligible by DSHS and must provide letter of approval provided by DSHS to apply for the waiting list.
Recipients have no earned income and have a temporary disability.
May be receiving assistance through the Aging, Blind and Disabled (ABD) program.
Clients who are receiving Social Security (SSI, SSDI or SSA), TANF, Unemployment, or L&I income are not eligible for HEN.

Provides homeless families with a centralized intake process and efficient linkage to appropriate programs and services.
Homeless Resources provides households with a single destination to access services that help them stay in their homes or quickly exit homelessness. Homeless Resources connects households that are experiencing or at risk of homelessness with housing and case management services offered by Catholic Charities and our partner agencies in Spokane County.
Emergency Rental Assistance offered at Rural Resources Community Action
Emergency rental assistance program primarily used to rapidly rehouse homeless individuals and families and victims fleeing domestic violence. These funds can be utilized to assist with first, last and/or security and rental assistance on a month to month basis. It may also be used for homeless prevention by paying past due rent.

Provides a homeless prevention program designed to assist veteran families at risk of homelessness to maintain their housing and to rapidly re-house veteran families who have recently become homeless.

Provides transitional housing and deposit/first month's rent for homeless, permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless & disabled, and rent assistance for those that are 3 months behind or have an eviction notice. Helps with motel vouchers when funding permits.

Clients receive case management services in clean and sober environment, participate in self-sufficiency skill development. Housing is available in both the Upper and Lower Yakima Valley. - Move-in Assistance & Homeless Prevention: provides rent assistance for those who are 3 months behind. Assists with move-in costs, such as deposit and first month rent.
- Coordinated Entry for homeless individuals and families seeking housing solutions.
- Homeless Resource Center: staff work closely with clients who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to help with safe shelter, transportation, household items and hygiene items. Sometimes rental or utility assistance and many other services that are needed will be provided. Clients are screened for eligibility.
- Transitional and Permanent Supportive Housing: YNHS manages several housing units and works with many landlords in Yakima County to provide housing for individuals and families.
- Street Outreach: Outreach team (nurses, behavioral health specialists, outreach and housing specialists) use the easily identifiable YNHS Outreach van to visit local shelters and other places where homeless might be, hoping to engage individuals and offer services.

RRH - Rapid Re-housing: Provides a rental subsidy to help families in the McKinney Program. Program also provides case management, and may last from 3 months to 2 years depending on the needs of the family.
Homeless Set Aside Units - Works with local tax credit apartment complexes that have set aside units specifically for families experiencing homelessness. Case management is also part of this program.
Also owns single occupancy units for individuals exiting shelter. SRO units have shared community areas, kitchens and bedroom facilities.
