Young Adult Housing Program (YAHP) offered at Catholic Charities Serving Central WA on D Street
Offers a rapid re-housing and homeless prevention program for youth and in the process will help develop a living plan and goals to live independently. Youth will be supported intensely in gaining skills in all life domains, including: housing, education, employment, relational development, and financial literacy. Provides subsidy-based housing on a graduated rent subsidy model in which the young adult will have responsibility in paying a portion of their rent. YAHP is a scattered site program, and youth will be given help in locating and securing appropriate housing and entering into appropriate lease agreements. One of the main goals is for youth to be self-sufficient and independent; therefore, youth will be engaged in a very intensive, person-centered planning process in securing housing and learning skills.
