Offers family, adult, youth and workplace crisis interventions for those with chemical dependency, substance abuse, or any other type of addiction concern. Program works with the family and friends who are concerned the loved one.
Offers family, adult, youth and workplace crisis interventions and stand alone transports for those with chemical dependency, substance abuse, gambling, eating disorders,, internet addiction, sexual issue or any other unhealthy behavior that warrant interruption. Interventions are typically a two-day process in which an intervention team prepares through family program sessions, education, discussion, letter writing and role-playing. The intervention will occur the following day and is facilitated in such a way that the loved one doesn't know. Interventions are typically between one to two hours with the ultimate goal of the individual in need accepting help. Transports are for a willing person who wants help but can't make it from home to treatment in a safe and secure manner.

Provides outpatient and supportive substance use disorder services for MAT (except for Methadone) patients with Opioid addictions. Does not prescribe MAT medications.

Screening and assessment is performed by one of our trained clinicians, with someone who is trained and experienced in understanding addictions.

Staff are trained to use brief interventions to encourage people who have serious dependence issues to accept more intensive treatment at our facility or to accept a referral to a higher level of care at another treatment facility.

Alcohol & Drug Information School
State-approved instruction fulfills legal requirements for individuals court-referred to attend an Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS). The educational, 8-hour course provides students with valuable information about alcohol and other drugs. The course is designed to enhance responsible decision-making with regards to alcohol and other drug use. Students are encouraged to explore the effects of alcohol and other drug use on themselves, their families and their world. Classes are offered twice monthly.
DUI Evaluations
Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment.
Outpatient Treatment
Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires fewer than nine hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order.

Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires 9-20 hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development).

Offers a twice monthly Victim's Impact Panel (VIP).
SAP Assessment
Provides a Substance Abuse Professional evaluation for DOT workers who fail an alcohol/drug test who will aid in helping worker return to work. Offers an initial SAP evaluation as well as a follow up SAP evaluation.
Drug Testing/UA
Provides drug/alcohol testing for DOT and non DOT workers. Offers Instant Panel Testing, Urine Lab Testing, Omega Hair Testing and USDTL, DDC DNA Testing, Peth Testing and ETG Testing - up to 3 weeks, and COVID Testing (instant and PCR).

Crisis Intervention offered by Valley Medical Center's Emergency Room Intervention Team
Provides emergency crisis intervention and counseling; no outreach or phone counseling; psychiatric medications are not prescribed or dispensed.
Offers in-person crisis intervention, emergency counseling, grief work and referral.
Psychiatric medications are not prescribed or dispensed through the Emergency Department.
Valley Medical Center DOES NOT have a psychiatric unit.

Emergency Service Patrol offered at King County Department of Community and Human Services - Chemical Dependency Services
Transports individuals incapacitated by alcohol or drugs to Dutch Shisler Sobering Center or to a hospital if there are medical problems. Patrols from downtown Seattle southward to Spokane Street. Service is dispatched by 911 operators.
Provides screening for inebriation and medical problems and transportation to appropriate services for people who are chronically publicly inebriated. Responds to calls from the 911 emergency dispatch system. The van can transport a maximum of six individuals. Transports to Pioneer Human Services' King County Diversion Center, another appropriate facility or an emergency room. Individuals with extreme medical problems will be transported to Harborview Medical Center Emergency Room.
