All purchases and donations at the thrift store help to support the food bank.  Donations of clothing, linens, small appliances and electronics, household items, books, movies, music, knick knacks, etc are accepted.  Cannot accept large appliances, toys, TV's, stereo equipment, bicycles, oversized furniture, tack or old computer equipment.

The Healthy Foods Market offers a grocery-store-style shopping experience with fresh produce, meat, dairy, dry/canned goods, baby food, diapers, and more. Registered clients may shop once weekly and are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Offers furniture to Thurston County residents who are transitioning into permanent housing. Ministry picks-up and delivers new or gently used mattresses and other needed furniture on Saturdays. All deliveries are based on availability. Ministry is not responsible for any furniture being delivered once items have been accepted by the client. Ministry accepts donations from the community and will schedule accordingly based on location.

Open meeting for anyone interested in helping the local NAMI affiliate grow. Volunteers are welcome to help plan and carry out projects. Every third Wednesday of the month.

Spokane Alliance works with faith, union, non-profit, and childcare institutions to build power and create change on a broad range of issues impacting communities, families, and individuals. Works to develop strong leaders, vibrant institutions, and thriving communities.

Sells gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, antiques, clothing, collectibles, and building materials. One hundred percent of the funds raised from the Habitat Stores support Habitat's mission to build and repair homes and hope. New items arrive daily. The Habitat Store also helps volunteers gain basic employment experience. Volunteer opportunities include: sales, pricing/sorting, display/decorating/cleaning, maintenance, management, and donation pick up/unloading.

Sponsor volunteers can join their company and Rebuilding Together South Sound for National Rebuilding Day or one of our other Rebuild Days. Sponsorship companies get priority project placement. Community volunteers can join Rebuilding Together South Sound for our Fall Rebuilding Day the last Saturday in October or Veterans Day the second Saturday in November. We are always looking for volunteers who work in the construction industry to support our repair programs – specifically general contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, roofers, and HVAC technicians. We would also welcome volunteers to support some of our administrative work including scanning client files, helping with mailings, and other office tasks. The ideal candidate would be able to commit to a 4 hour time block, once per week, for at least 3 months. Please note - we do not have capacity to support time bound volunteer needs such as graduation requirements or court ordered volunteering.

Provides a central contact point for people looking for help with a variety of needs.  Love INC screens the callers to determine the needs and mobilizes local churches to help provide assistance. Services depend on the ministries available through the churches in the networks. Assistance may include services such as firewood, minor home repairs, children's clothing, ect. If there are requests for assistance that are not covered by any existing ministries, Love INC helps to develop gap ministries to help with unmet needs.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor "sweat equity" into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. We need three different kinds of volunteers: On-site construction helpers, SHFH Store workers, Committee members.

Assists qualifying families in building or repairing homes through a volunteer organization. The process includes a credit check and meeting income guidelines. An agreement is made to help build or repair the applicant's home as well as other Habitat homes.
