Outpatient program provides health monitoring, physical and occupational therapy, recreational activities, counseling and support groups, hot meals and nutritional counseling for those with a disability related to AIDS. Accepts Medicaid.

KAT’s Respite Program provides temporary direct care and supervision in a safe facility-based environment. The service is designed to help meet the needs of the primary caregiver as well as the served individual. Program activates include: Communication Skills Building; Social Skills Building; Physical Exercise; and Multi-Media Appreciation. Our services are designed to be individualistic and keyed to the particular needs of those served.
We provide respite services to individuals twice a week from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Additional times can be prearranged with K.A.T. by calling Mark Jones at 360-377-5454 x 103.
Our Respite program provides a brief span of free time for the care givers to spend some quality time alone to recharge their "care-giving batteries" which run low. The program offers educational opportunities, physical exercise, and socialization skills to the participants. Volunteer Services: provides basic in-home assistance to low-income elders and adults with disabilities to help them continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Only local rides; no work related transportation. Volunteers can provide services such as: local transportation for appointments and errands (no long distance), yard work, light housekeeping and laundry, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, wheelchair ramps (not an immediate service; if qualifications aren't met, might have to pay material out of pocket), and wood provision.
Senior Companion Program: serves one-on one with the frail elderly and other homebound persons who have difficulty completing everyday tasks. Provides companionship as they assist with grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, and other tasks. Volunteers are individuals over 55 years of age with a limited income, they receive a small stipend for an average of 15-20 hours of service per week.
Respite Adult Day Center in Yakima: gives frail or cognitively disabled adults the opportunity to make new friends and participate in a host of enjoyable activities in a safe and comfortable environment. A team of staff and volunteers are present to provide personalized support, encouragement and assistance to each participant. Provides some down-time to those who provide care to disabled individuals. The disabled individuals must have a memory loss situation (such as Alzheimer's, stroke, MS etc.) for the caregiver to be eligible for this program. This program works in conjunction with Aging and Long Term Care but is overseen by Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington.
