Provides 9 early learning events for parents and children birth through kindergarten and their siblings. Offers: - Free children’s books including books addressing diversity and inclusion, socioemotional needs, and relationship skills - Information on age appropriate learning targets - Developmental screening and intervention - Tool kits for home use - Written materials in English and Spanish Events are monthly through the school year.

ESD 123 provides a vital link between local public and private schools and various state and federal agencies. Serves as a central focal point for the aggregation of services and information. Helps families build on their strengths, find support networks, and promote overall well-being, through various programs. Parent Education - Incredible Years Parent Training: helps parents understand how to build a positive relationship with their child. Available at the Wenatchee Family Resource Center or in-home. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Project Safe Care: boosts parenting skills, while teaching how to improve the health of the child. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. -Triple P: evidence- based program boosts parenting skills. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Triple Point: Local program for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex) youth, 12 to 18 years old. Provides a safe place where youth can make positive connections, learn about community resources, receive the support they need, receive counseling, as well as participate in regular meetings with other LGBTQ+ youth and group leaders. School Success - Readiness to Learn: works with children so they can be successful in school and in the community. Serves students in the Entiat, Eastmont and Wenatchee school districts. - Truancy Invention Program: gives students a boost to help improve attendance. Serves students in the Wenatchee School District in partnership with Chelan County Juvenile Center.

Helps resolve disputes, complaints and conflict between families and schools through facilitation.   Acts as a confidential, neutral third party not associated with the public school system.   Promotes school-family partnerships and provides information about the education system and referrals to education-related resources.   Helps parents concerned about a child being bullied at school.   Provides workshops and presentations and publishes materials designed to help families understand and navigate the K-12 education system.   Publications can be downloaded from the website or mailed.   Publications are translated into several languages.   The Education Ombudsman does not help with issues regarding:   -  Elected officials (such as school board members)   -  Private schools   -  Private organizations or businesses   -  Preschools, colleges and universities   Does not have the authority to force a school or school district to take a specific course of action and cannot discipline or terminate school or school district employees.   Does not provide legal advice or services.

Offers a program for high school students in Seattle that includes job readiness, academic success, career exploration and internships. Youth attend workshops, field trips, campus tours and work on community projects. YJRT works with high school students and their parents/guardians. Parent/guardians concentrate on understanding the local public school system (grading, attendance and graduation requirements), parenting techniques and financial literacy. Supports participants with their transition to the United States and, students to find their path towards a self-sustaining livable wage career.

Provides case management, support, and access to social services, increases parental involvement in their children's education and improves the academic achievement of at-risk students. Activities to accomplish the program goals vary from school to school, including parent education, family focused interventions, crisis support and referral to appropriate social service agencies. Family support workers assist low-income families with referrals to medical and dental services.   Program available on-site at many elementary schools in Seattle Public Schools.   However, since not all schools have an on-site worker, Family Support Workers serve the remaining schools on an as needed basis.
