Provides eligible 16-21 year old students with a variety of ways to meet their educational goals.
Edmonds Career Access Program (EdCAP) is an Open Doors youth re-engagement program that provides 16-21 year old students an opportunity to take classes at Edmonds Community College. Students can earn a high school diploma, GED, and/or any Edmonds College Degree or certificate. We are a state, K-12, funded program that offers youth a chance to work toward their goals in an adult environment with a diverse student body and more flexibility than traditional high schools. Often we are referred to as a ‘second chance’ or a ‘clean slate’ for students who have struggled in traditional school settings.

Access UW
Waives tuition for Washington residents 60 years or older who wish to attend classes as auditing students. If you are enrolling as an ACCESS student you may attend class with the permission of the instructor, beginning the first class day if space is available.
Distance Learning Courses

Coordinates a variety of academic, personal growth and professional development courses. These courses are often on a schedule reflecting the University quarter system. Additionally offers planned programs of study for professional development and personal interest. Programs are designed by University of Washington faculty and practicing professionals. Locations vary by class and program.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)
Invites adults over age 50 to come together to share intellectual interests and make new friends. Current and retired UW faculty and community experts lead short courses in numerous subjects.

- The classes are taught by a high school instructor who has been approved by the college.
Tech Prep
- A partnership between Seattle Colleges and local high school districts allows select high school career and technical education classes to count for college credit.
- Cascadia currently offers 12 courses for credit through local high schools, taught by the high school teachers.
- To earn college credit for these classes, students must register for the course through Tech Prep and earn a grade of B or higher.
- Registration must occur before the student completes the course.
Youth Re-Engagement (U3) Program offered at Everett Community College
Basic education and career preparation program for youth ages 16-21 who never completed high school.
