High School Programs offered at Cascadia College
Offers educational programs to students who are still in high school. Running Start - Allows high school students the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at the same time, with low cost or free tuition. - Must be a high school junior or senior at a public high school in Washington state - Can attend either part time or full time. Cascadia in the High School - Dual enrollment program that allows high school students the opportunity to earn college credits by taking college level classes at their high school. - Students must be enrolled in a participating high school and meet specific course requirements and prerequisites. - The classes are taught by a high school instructor who has been approved by the college. Tech Prep - A partnership between Seattle Colleges and local high school districts allows select high school career and technical education classes to count for college credit. - Cascadia currently offers 12 courses for credit through local high schools, taught by the high school teachers. - To earn college credit for these classes, students must register for the course through Tech Prep and earn a grade of B or higher. - Registration must occur before the student completes the course.
