Borrowers must
- Attend an eight week business readiness course providing instruction on basic business planning, accounting, budgeting and marketing.
- Form business groups of 4-6 members in order to be awarded loans starting at $1,000 and ranging, in time, up to $35,000.
- Keep current on loan repayments.
On-going technical assistance is provided by a business resource network of professionals from the local business community.
In addition, a business resource network member will be assigned to each group to guide and support them.
Offers classes in Spanish, and possibly other languages.

Asset building services include Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) assistance and FDIC Money Smart Financial Education classes. One-on-one counseling is also available for credit health assessments, business plans, debt reduction, and accessing free credit reports. Also offers tax preparation assistance and computer access for self-filers.

Assistive Technology Financial Loans offered at Northwest Access Fund
Provides low-interest loans to Washington residents with disabilities of all types for purchases of medical equipment, assistive technology, business, and home and vehicle access.
Provides low-interest loans to people with disabilities for purchases of assistive technology including:
- Durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, hearing aids, patient lifts, etc.)
- Adaptive technology
- Home and vehicle access modifications and equipment (adapted vehicles, smart home technology, computers, widening of doorways, etc. )
- Dentures
Also helps callers locate other funding sources.
Assistive technology loan terms are up to five years with a 5% interest rate.
Home modification loan terms are up to 10 years with a 5% interest rate.
Adapted vehicle loan terms are up to 10 years with an interest rate that can vary.
Loan amounts are up to $25,000 for assistive technology and up to $60,000 for home modification and adapted vehicle loans.
There are no fees to apply or for early payoff.
