Home Renovations offered by Rebuilding Together Seattle
Sponsors home repair work events where volunteers renovate the homes of low-income Seattle area homeowners who are veterans, seniors, living with disabilities or have children and are unable to perform the work themselves. *Currently have some limited funding for any applicant (not just veterans) at 80% AMI or below (call to verify if they are within the 50-80% range), limits can also be found on website.
Offers free home repairs to low income homeowners and nonprofit facilities in the greater Seattle area.
Focuses on repairs that promote warmth, safety, and independence.
Common repairs include the following:
- Wheelchair ramps and other accessibility improvements
- Installation of grab bars to improve safety
- Plumbing and electrical work
- Flooring repair or replacement
- Painting, interior and exterior
- Window repair or replacement
- Clutter removal
- Yard clean-up
Local businesses provide material donations and work is completed by volunteers.
Does not offer grants or loans.

Provides free exterior house painting to low-income Tacoma homeowners during the summer months. Homeowners pay nothing because the program supplies the paint and volunteers provide the labor.

Homeowners pay nothing because the program supplies the paint, equipment and training and volunteers provide the labor.
Homeowners are encouraged to involve their family and friends as volunteers in the paint project.
