Also processes Special Event Permits, and sells parking permits for city-owned parking lots located in the downtown area. Provides police services to the city of Napavine.

Provide financial assistance to people with Parkinson’s disease and their families. Approved applicants will be eligible for up to $400 once every year (12 months) Funds may be used for programs, services, and activities designed to improve quality of life. Exercise/Wellness: - Covers costs associated with exercise/wellness programs and activities that focus on improving and maintaining the health for persons with PD, such as boxing, dancing, yoga, tai-chi, physical therapy, occupational therapy Medication: - Defrays expenses not covered by other programs or health insurance Respite/Adult Day Program: - Subsidizes the cost of respite care for the person with Parkinson disease, to enable care partners to take time away to rejuvenate. Assistance at Home: - Covers expenses for home services, such as housework, light yard work, snow shoveling, and other tasks that a person with PD or a care partner are not able to complete. Transportation: - Covers costs associated with travel to and from doctor’s appointments, support groups, and other events for those who are no longer driving or for whom driving is significantly limited due to the effects of Parkinson’s disease. Adaptive Equipment: - Offsets costs associated with the purchase and/or installation of equipment or modifications needed in the home to aid in activities of daily living, such as grab bars, hand rails, widening doorways, bathroom accessibility

Enforces the Edgewood Municipal Code by - Investigating reported or observed violations of property maintenance, zoning, planning, special land uses, signage, and permit compliance - Educating property owners and occupants on code requirements and voluntary correction - Providing a warning and reasonable compliance period before formal action, where appropriate - Issuing Notices of Code Violation and pursuing enforcement when voluntary compliance is not achieved - Working cooperatively with Fire and Police Services on issues involving public safety - Promoting community awareness and collaboration to support safe living conditions Emergencies or immediate life-safety concerns should be reported to 911.

Provides emergency services for the preservation of life and property. Services offered are response to medical aid calls, fire suppression and service calls. Also provides services like CPR classes, fire safety, burn ban information, and smoke alarm information.

Enables a safe and secure community.   Also provides copies of police records, for those who submit a Public Disclosure Form.

Legal advocate is available to assist victims of domestic violence with misdemeanor domestic violence cases.   Services include: - Helping victims process protection orders - Accompanying victims to court proceedings - Transporting victims to social services and other basic needs

Provides police services for the residents and visitors in the city of Tumwater.   Also provides concealed weapons permits for Tumwater residents, and police reports. Also has a prescription drop box located on-site.

Conducts residential or commercial security surveys of city residents' property. Police will check for proper locks and window latches and other safety considerations. Coordinates neighborhood block watches. Registers residents who may have difficulty communicating or may need special assistance during an emergency situation. This kind of assistance may be needed if the person is unable to speak or properly identify themselves, or if they become disoriented or act in a manner that could be misinterpreted by first responders. Works with Evergreen Health Insurance Program to pay insurance premiums for people living with HIV who otherwise might not be able to afford it on their own. Types of insurance typically covered include:-  Existing COBRA policies-  Group policies-  Healthcare for Workers with Disabilities (HWD)-  Individual policies for clients who do not qualify for a plan in the Health Benefit Exchange. -  Medicare Part D-  Existing WSHIP policies-  Gold-, Silver- and some Platinum-level Qualified Health Plans in the Health Benefit Exchange Cannot pay for: -  Stand-alone dental or vision insurance -  Medicare Part B premiums -  Medicare Advantage Drug Plans (MA-PD)   Additionally, helps people find insurance if they are not currently insured.
