Serves the households and businesses within the Chehalis City Limits, as well as visitors and non-residents conducting business within the city. Officers cite infraction and misdemeanor violations. Also handles nuisance violations, like inoperable vehicles, on publicly owned property within the City and will deal with those on private property. Handles Animal Control issues and provides animal licenses within city limits. Police Records and copies of Police Reports are available upon request. Processes applications for Concealed Pistol Licenses for residents of Chehalis. Also processes Special Event Permits, and sells parking permits for city-owned parking lots located in the downtown area. Offers a volunteer program to people within the community who wish to help out the police department. Application process

Call 9-1-1 for emergency services. For all other services contact the police department by calling the business line, walking into the main office or mailing a request.

Fee

Police services and Animal Control is free. Pet/Animal Licensing: $5-$30 depending on License and if the animal is spayed/neutered. Copies of incident/accident reports: $0.15 per page, case must have a disposition before copies can be released. Concealed Pistol Licenses: Call for more information.
