Our care is short term (on average 8-12 session for individuals) and can treat those with mild to moderate symptoms related to mental health challenges such as transition, child behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment related issues, sleep related issues, and couple/family challenges or stressors.

Provides access to consultations with health care specialists through a robust video-conferencing network of more than 100 units throughout the Northwest. This technology facilitates live, confidential interaction for two or more locations involved in patient consults, rural medicine, health education, medical training, business administration and other related activities.

Provides treatment via an app, web cam or phone for a variety of minor illnesses. Able to prescribe medications, excluding narcotics and anxiety medication. Payment via subscription model for app. Web or phone charged as regular doctor visits.
Provides treatment via web camera, phone or app for a variety of minor illnesses such as asthma, back pain, pink eye, sore throat, seasonal allergies and flu. Virtual visits should not replace a relationship with a primary care provider.
Prescribes medications including antibiotics when indicated, allergy medications, anti-nausea medications, and various skin creams or ointments. UW Medicine Virtual Clinic providers will not prescribe or refill medications for the treatment of a psychiatric condition, and they will not prescribe controlled substances, including medications such as:
- Narcotic medications (i.e. Oxycodone, Vicodin, Percocet, Codeine)
- Anti-anxiety medications (i.e. Xanax, Valium, Ativan, Klonopin)
Visits typically last about 20 minutes.
