Courses are taught by certified instructors and combine hands-on training, audiovisuals, easy-to-read materials and instructor-led demonstrations and discussions. Offers infant/child/adult CPR classes once per month. Those who complete the class are certified by the American Red Cross for two years. Certification meets most non-medical work requirements.

Great Starts Birth & Family Education offered by Parent Trust for Washington Children
Offers a variety of classes on pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding and parenting. Classes are held in Seattle, Eastside, Edmonds, Burien, Lynnwood and Bainbridge.

BASIC CHILDBIRTH PREPARATION CLASS:
Addresses the last months of pregnancy, childbirth and early postpartum.
Teaches relaxation and breathing techniques.
Class meets for seven sessions before the birth and one postpartum reunion class.
LABOR AND BIRTH:
This short course is to prepare for or review childbirth.
Meets for one eight hour class or two four-hour sessions.
BREASTFEEDING CLASS:
Offers helpful hints and information on breast feeding for expectant and new mothers; babies are welcome.
Private classes may be available.
SIBLING CLASS:
Prepares children ages 2. 5 to 7 for the pregnancy, birth and homecoming of a new family member.
BABYSAFE AND INFANT CPR:
Infant safety class for new and expectant parents and other caregivers who want to learn infant CPR and ways to prevent accidents and/or injuries for the baby younger than one year of age.
NEWBORN CARE CLASS:
Offers information about baby care during the first weeks of life, including diapering, cord care, bathing and comforting.
Community Services offered by Shoreline Regional Fire Authority
Offers classes for AHA HeartSaver CPR, First Aid, disaster preparedness and fall prevention for older adults, as well as fire prevention classes and information. Some CPR courses offer certification for employment.
Offers American Heart Association adult, infant and child CPR. AHA HeartSaver courses are held throughout the year. Students receive a two-year AHA CPR card.
HeartSaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements.
These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
For many HeartSaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
Also offers fall prevention for older adults, as well as fire prevention classes and information at Shoreline Senior Center.
The Children's Fire Safety Center hosts groups of 15 or fewer for one-hour educational and play sessions targeted at 3-5 year-olds.
Programs focus on promoting fire and life safety for families.
Outreach programs are offered to Scouts, playgroups, teachers, church groups or neighborhood associations.

Youth Programs offered at Bellevue Parks & Community Services
Offers a variety of programs for youth including sports, dance, music and arts and crafts.
Programs have a wide variety of themes, including arts & crafts, cheerleading, dance, educational movies, farm animal care, fitness activities, hiking, martial arts, music, nature and wildlife exploration, parkour, pottery, rock climbing, safety classes, swimming, sports, theatre and zip lining.
Health and Safety Education offered by Valley Regional Fire Authority's Station 31 and Headquarters
Offers CPR instruction and First Aid as well as programs about fire safety and disaster preparedness for Auburn, Algona and Pacific residents.

CPR classes offer certification for employment, but do not meet healthcare worker certification requirements.
Puget Sound, Renton, and Valley Regional Fire Authorities have joined forces to create an enhanced CPR and First Aid program. All of the classes provided are taught using nationally recognized curriculum by certified firefighter/EMTs. This schedule is managed & maintained by the Renton Regional Fire Authority
Community and Safety Services offered at East Pierce Fire and Rescue
Provides fire protection, prevention, and emergency medical services to East Pierce County residents. Also offers CPR, first aid and babysitting classes. Provides free smoke alarm installation, free car seat inspections. Please see details.

Those living within the fire district boundaries can receive free fire alarm installation and free car seat inspections.
Also provides bike helmets and life jackets at a lower cost.
Those unable to purchase a life jacket may be able to get a loaner life jacket for the day.

Provides CPR and first aid classes for businesses and groups in Bothell and surrounding area. CPR classes use the American Heart Association curriculum and include two-year certification.
Offers the American Heart Association’s HeartSaver curriculum to community members, businesses, and groups. The HeartSaver CPR/AED & First Aid training helps students develop the skills needed to recognize a cardiac arrest, basic first-aid knowledge, and the confidence to respond.
Upon completion of all course requirements, participants will receive a HeartSaver CPR/AED course completion card which is valid for two years.
Bystander CPR Instruction offered by Seattle Fire Department
Offers various levels of CPR instruction for Seattle residents and organizations: hands-only, pediatric/infant and AED/CPR. Offers some certification for non-medical-provider employment. Classes also available in several languages other than English.
Offers bystander CPR training courses for individuals and organizations. Classes include hands-only CPR techniques, infant CPR training and full certification course. AED use, choking techniques and awareness of the PulsePoint app are also included in each class.

Provides CPR/AED and First Aid training to the community. Curriculum is based on the standards set forth by the American Heart Association and meets WISHA and OSHA requirements.

CPR/AED Curriculum
- Session is designed to provide the fundamental skills and confidence needed to perform CPR on an adult, child, or infant.
- Participants learn how to recognize and alleviate airway obstructions, properly use an AED (automatic external defibrillator), and the signs, symptoms, and corrective action for a stroke or heart attack.
First Aid Curriculum:
- Session provides the fundamental skills necessary to recognize and treat medical emergencies.
- Participants learn scene safety, the signs and symptoms of diabetes, stroke, and seizures, and how to best treat these emergencies.
- Participants also learn how to control bleeding, treat for shock and burns, and manage head and spine injuries.
Each course is broken up into two half-day sessions – one session for CPR/AED training and one session for First Aid training.
- Participants can choose to sign up for one or both sessions, depending on their needs.
- The entire course is taught by certified firefighter/EMT instructors.
- Completion cards are given for both CPR/AED and First Aid training and are good for 2-years.
