Community Services offered by Shoreline Fire Department at Headquarters

Offers American Heart Association adult, infant and child CPR. AHA HeartSaver courses are held throughout the year. Students receive a two-year AHA CPR card.   HeartSaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many HeartSaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.   Also offers fall prevention for older adults, as well as fire prevention classes and information at Shoreline Senior Center.   The Children's Fire Safety Center hosts groups of 15 or fewer for one-hour educational and play sessions targeted at 3-5 year-olds. Programs focus on promoting fire and life safety for families. Outreach programs are offered to Scouts, playgroups, teachers, church groups or neighborhood associations. Presentation topics include: -  Fire safety at home -  Emergency preparation for families -  Fire and EMS operations -  Senior citizen safety and fall prevention,   -  Fire extinguisher basics -  First Aid

Call for information or email. To register for CPR classes, call and leave your name on the voicemail.

Fee

CPR: $50 per person.   Safety Center programs are free for Shoreline residents. Other program fees vary.

Eligibility

Those that are living primarily within Shoreline, Echo Lake, Ronald, Foy, Richmond Beach, Richmond Highlands, Innis Arden and the North City area (North King County bounded on the south by 145th, north by the King County line (205th), east by 35th NE, and west by Puget Sound).

Shoreline Fire Department

Provides fire fighting and emergency medical aid and rescue services. Also provides community education about fire and general safety. Paramedic services are also provided to Lake Forest Park area and Kenmore area (King County Fire District #16).
