Some services, such as concealed pistol permits and fingerprinting, require an appointment.
Vacation Housewatch offered at Lacey Police Department
Vacation Housewatch: Police department volunteers will check on weekdays to see that home is secure while the resident is away. Citizens of Lacey may come to the front desk to fill out Vacation Housewatch form.

Police provide basic law enforcement services including fingerprinting, conceals weapons permits and house watches.

Crime Prevention Programs offered by Auburn Police Department
Organizes neighborhood block watch programs to help prevent crime and offers information on various safety education topics.
Provides police services to residents of Auburn. Provides the following crime prevention programs:
- Operation Identification: Loans an electric engraver to residents to mark valuable property.
- Neighborhood Watch: Operates a program in which residents are organized and instructed in home security.
- Safety Education Programs: Child safety programs are designed for grades K-6 on bicycle safety, school bus safety, seat belts, etc.
- Personal Safety Education: Provides information on rape prevention and advice for older adults.
- House Checks: Provides regular house checks for residents going out of town; program is limited to two weeks.
- Business Program: Presents a program on loss prevention and armed robbery.
