Provides and promotes the repair and maintenance of housing for low-to-moderate income residents of the city of Tukwila.
Provides and promotes the repair and maintenance of housing for low-to-moderate income residents of the city of Tukwila.
Housing repair services will focus on maintaining the safety and health of the occupants; preserving the dwelling and/or conserving energy.
Services include, but are not limited to:
Electrical:
- faulty lights, switches, plugs, circuits or exhaust fans
Plumbing:
- faulty toilets, clogged drains, leaking faucets, faulty water heaters
Disability Aids:
- installation of grab bars, hand rails, hand held showerheads, bath seats, access ramps, and application of non-skid surfaces
Safety:
- installation of smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and locksets
Other:
- faulty furnaces, faulty gutters and roof leaks, broken window glass panes

The Home Rehabilitation Grant Program (HRGP) provides funding to assist individuals with home-repair improvements that address health, safety and durability issues in homes in rural areas. Grants are available to low-income homeowners who reside in eligible rural areas of Washington state. Interested households must apply and qualify for the program through one of the participating rehabilitation agencies listed below. Priority is given to seniors, disabled residents, families with children under five years old, and veterans.

Anyone living in incorporated Yakima County (outside of Yakima City limits) can call to apply.
- Rehabilitation Loan: for low- to moderate-income homeowners that need home improvement. County will do an inspection in the home to determine what repairs it needs to keep it at housing market to keep home owner living in the home.
- Rental housing: Expands the supply of affordable rental housing available to extremely low-to very low-income home renters. Explores the feasibility, options, and select a model to pilot to provide landlord rental rehabilitation for very low to moderate-income rental households in Year 5.
- Home ownership: Provides assistance to developers, sponsors, or owners to assist extremely low- to very-income households that are prepared to become home owners.

Provides financial assistance for home health and safety repairs for low-income King County homeowners and mobile home owners. Offers rental rehab program for landlords who have tenants with disabilities; does not serve Seattle.
Provides loans and grants for low- to moderate-income, owner-occupied homes for necessary major health and safety repairs.
Deferred loans provide up to $34,000 in no-interest loans to low-income homeowners (must live in residence) for major health and safety repairs (as determined by an inspector).
Loan is expected to be repaid at the time the home is:
- Sold, or title transferred
- Refinanced
- No longer primary residence
Emergency Grants provide up to $9,000 for owner-occupied homes with life-threatening repair needs. Grants are not repaid.
Mobile Homeowner Grant Program offers up to $11,000 for emergency repairs to owner-occupied mobile homes without ownership in the land on which the mobile home is located.
Home Access Modification Program (HAM) provides grants to make accessibility modifications to rental units for tenants with disabilities.

Provides home repair loans and grants for necessary health, life and safety improvements to qualified homeowners in the city of Seattle.
Offers home repair grants and loans to qualified homeowners for necessary health, life and safety improvements.
If the repair needed is under $3,000 the homeowner will be only eligible to apply for the grant program.
If the repair is over $3,000, the homeowner will need to apply first for the loan program. If they are denied a loan, they will be eligible to apply for a grant, up to $10,000.
The following is a partial list of priority issues:
- Accessibility needs and modifications
- Appliances, if existing ones are nonfunctional, inefficient or in very poor condition
- Bathroom repair
- Brick or masonry repair

- Door and window repair or replacement (if in poor condition)
