Provides financial assistance for kinship caregivers. Licensed foster parents are ineligible. Adults 18+ must be the primary caregiver for their friend's or relative's children. Must have exhausted all other financial resources.

Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program - SFMNP offered at the Lewis Mason Thurston Area Agency on Aging
Provides area seniors a way to purchase fresh, nutritious, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and fresh-cut herbs from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands. Receives nutrition education including recipes, nutrient values, food prep/storage info.
Provides seniors in Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties the opportunity to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and fresh-cut herbs from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands. Participants will also receive nutrition educational materials including recipes, nutrient values, food preparation and storage information.
Another benefit of this program is that by increasing the consumption of local agricultural commodities it helps aid in the development of new farmers markets and roadside stands along with community supported agriculture programs.
Checks will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Once an application has been received and screened for eligibility, the applicant will be mailed a card, totaling $80 in SFMNP dollars to be used at participating farmers markets and roadside stands throughout Washington State.
SFMNP cards are valid during harvest season, which is June 1 thru October 31, 2022.
Where to Shop:
A list of local participating farmers markets and roadside stands will be provided to each recipient of SFMNP cards. All participating farmers markets and roadside stands will have a sign posted that they accept SFMNP cards. Caregivers or family members may purchase produce with the SFMNP cards on behalf of an eligible participant when a PROXY form is filled out by the senior designating someone else to make purchases for them. Proxy form is available upon request. A complete list of all participating farmers markets and roadside stands throughout Washington State is available upon request.

Distributes $80 farmers market vouchers to low-income Kitsap County seniors 60 years of age and older and American Indians 55 years of age and older. Farmers Market Vouchers begin June 1st through end October.
Fresh, nutritious, locally-grown fruits and vegetables are available to qualified low-income seniors, aged 60 years and over, to improve their nutritional status while supporting local farmers. Produce may be purchased with EBT cards at local, state-approved farmers’ markets or delivered directly to homebound seniors between June and October each year.
SNAP Market Match offered by Washington State Department of Health's Fruit and Vegetable Incentive Program
Funds a dollar for dollar match up to $25, for those who are shopping at farmers markets and farm stands and who are paying with an EBT card.
Extra benefits cannot be used for dried, canned, or frozen vegetables or fruit (including jams/jellies), dried herbs, nuts, seeds, eggs, baked goods, seafood or meat, and milk or cheese.
Provides a match of up to $25 on fruits and vegetables for customers who use SNAP/EBT cards at participating farmers markets and farm stands. SNAP/EBT customers can “match” their SNAP benefits (dollar for dollar, up to $25 per day in most markets).

Intended to be a resource for qualifying families and individuals presenting urgent needs that are unmet by existing specific assistance programs. Salvation Army funds may be used alone or in combination with the Open Doors Fund. Available in Jefferson County through the Port Townsend office and for Forks and surrounding communities through the Forks office.

Offers clothing, furniture/beds, household items, food, rent/utilities assistance, prescription medication assistance, and other expenses on a case-by-case basis. Callers are referred to the St. Vincent de Paul volunteers in their area who may do a home visit to determine need. Financial services are provided through a vouchering system. Not all services are offered in all areas.

Provides one-time emergency grants up to $250 to wounded, ill or injured honorably discharged servicemembers or their caregivers for assistance with basic needs such as food, utilities, housing and clothing. Case manager must submit request.
