Resource Navigators provide one-on-one help accessing community resources and navigating systems such as housing, transportation, financial/rental assistance, utility discounts, food access, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, in-home assistance, and application support.

Resource Navigation offered at Auburn Senior Activity Center

Libraries or other centers located in community organizations that house a collection of materials which may focus on a particular topic or activity such as parenting, preventive health care or woodworking; or which may be more general in nature. Staff with expertise in the subject may be available to answer questions or help people with their research. Materials may be used at the center or, in some cases, checked out and used elsewhere.

Agency Based Libraries/Resource Centers

Organizations, which may be international, national or regional in scope, whose members are information and referral programs and individual professionals in the field who have affiliated for the purpose of advancing the field, promoting mutual interests, participating in conferences, networking with their peers, subscribing to journals and other publications, and taking advantage of other opportunities for continuing professional development. Information and referral associations may also offer certification and accreditation programs, on-line training opportunities, access to professional tools and samples of best practices, and other resources that strengthen the ability of member individuals and organizations to serve their communities.
