Donations accepted by Northwest Center in Seattle

Accepts donations of clothing and household items for resale; will pick up in most of King County. See full description for complete list of items accepted. Furniture must be under 50 lbs and able to be handled by one person.

Programs that accept new or used audiotapes, records, compact discs (CDs), videotapes, DVDs, described videos and other similar items and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to libraries, schools and other community agencies for their own use or for distribution to people they serve.

Video/DVD/CD Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or secondhand sheets, blankets, pillowcases, bedspreads, towels and other similar household essentials, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own programs, donate them to other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve, or sell them to raise money for agency programs.

Bedding/Linen Donation Programs

Organizations that establish central points where people can bring personal and household goods, office equipment and supplies and other items they wish to donate.

Donation Drop Off Points

Programs that accept used computers and associated hardware, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other nonprofit organizations.

Computer Donation Programs

Programs that accept cameras that take video or still photographs (or both) digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor, refurbish them if necessary, adapt them for special uses, as desired, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Digital Camera Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or secondhand clothing, repair the items if necessary, and keep the clothing for use in their own programs, donate it to shelters and other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve, or sell it to raise money for agency programs. These programs accept donations of all types of clothing including children's clothes, work clothes, maternity clothes and shoes rather than specialize in a particular type of clothing.

General Clothing Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or secondhand dishes, utensils, pots and pans, food storage containers and other cookware and keep them for use in their own programs, donate them to other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve, or sell them to raise money for agency programs.

Kitchenware Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or reconditioned radios, television sets, microwave ovens, fans, heaters, vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, small kitchen appliance and other similar equipment, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own programs, donate them to other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve, or sell them to raise money for agency programs.

Electronics/Small Appliance Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or secondhand toys, games, puzzles and other similar items; repair them if necessary; and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to toy lending libraries, family shelters, foster care programs and other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve.

Toy/Game Donation Programs

Programs that accept cleaning equipment and/or supplies such as brooms, mops, dust pans, cleansing powder, dish washing soap, window cleaner, furniture polish and trash bags and keep them for use in their own programs, or donate them to other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve.

Cleaning Product Donation Programs

Provides low-Cost, high quality, refurbished computers available for low-income residents.
