Leading the community to lift 30% of families out of poverty by 2030. They do this by partnering with and investing in a strong network of local organizations who work directly with struggling families in the community. United Way of Lewis County is convening, collaborating, and coordinating county-wide efforts with a focus in early education, access to resources and affordable housing. Direct client services are not provided.

The annual campaign raises funds from individuals, employee groups and companies throughout the counties to provide funding to support local non-profit organizations. Allocates funding for human service programs through a volunteer assessment and review process.

Raises and distributes funds to local non-profit human service agencies. Performs coordination and catalyst function in problem solving and coalition building for community.

Offers funding to nonprofit programs and projects focused on interrupting the cycle of intergenerational poverty through programs and initiatives that provide underserved families and communities.

Offers a wide range of services for those diagnosed with cancer, including radiation therapy, resource center and library, and free mammograms to those who are uninsured. Operates a foundation center where financial donations may be made in memory of a loved one, as a tribute to an individual, a gift of appreciation to healthcare professionals, or in support of the care provided by the Cancer Center. Larger gifts may be designated to the Foundation's Endowment, a way to ensure that services will be available well into the future. Offers a resource center providing wigs, hats, prostheses, bras, scarves, and satin pillowcases free of charge. The intent is to assist patients in looking and feeling the best possible during their cancer journey.

Provides small grant awards that range from $1,000 to $5,000 to assist Veterans in obtaining resources needed to launch their farm businesses. Awards are given to third-parties for items that may be obtained for the Veterans; awards are not directly given to Veterans.

Performs fund-raising activities to support agencies in the county who provide a wide variety of community services. United Way brings together businesses, nonprofits, government, experts, and volunteers to identify the most pressing needs, invest in long-term solutions and improve people's lives.

Provides assistance in the building, strengthening, and maintaining of Jewish communities. The organization may provide funding to Jewish community organizations.

Facilitates a community engagement process called Community Solutions to identify and prioritize community needs and solutions. Specific goals are established to create lasting change to community conditions to improve people's lives. United Way operates an annual campaign to raise funds which help support local not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) programs that align with Community Solutions' focus areas and are results-oriented. Also focuses on improving the school attendance of all local students, K-12th. This agency has partnered with local schools, businesses, local media, the faith community, and social service organizations to support and promote these messages through incentive programs, message displays, and student recognition.

A priority of Verdant’s is to support our residents’ ability to get care, especially for those who are uninsured or low-income. Verdant provides grants for organizations that match its funding priorities.

Provides three grant cycles a year for local non-profit 501 (C) 3 agencies and scholarships to certain students. Works to improve the cultural, economic, social, health and educational quality of life for residents of Yakima County, with special attention to unmet needs, and to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals.

An independent, charitable organization established solely to help support and enhance hospice services in the community. The WHF exists to solicit, acquire, and administer charitable contributions on behalf of Whatcom Hospice. The WHF is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of local business and community leaders.

The United Way of Clallam County is the vehicle to help people give to our community. The mission is to strengthen the community by helping people to live safe, healthy, and productive lives. United Way works to advance the common good in a variety of ways; raising and distributing local donations; working with the community to provide leadership in meeting human service needs; and being a constructive voice for human service needs in Clallam County.
