Emergency Service Patrol offered at King County Department of Community and Human Services - Chemical Dependency Services
Transports individuals incapacitated by alcohol or drugs to Dutch Shisler Sobering Center or to a hospital if there are medical problems. Patrols from downtown Seattle southward to Spokane Street. Service is dispatched by 911 operators.
Provides screening for inebriation and medical problems and transportation to appropriate services for people who are chronically publicly inebriated. Responds to calls from the 911 emergency dispatch system. The van can transport a maximum of six individuals. Transports to Pioneer Human Services' King County Diversion Center, another appropriate facility or an emergency room. Individuals with extreme medical problems will be transported to Harborview Medical Center Emergency Room.
