Provides culturally relevant mental health services primarily to older Latinos with cognitive or mental health issues. Services include psychiatric evaluations, therapy, day treatment, medication management, case management and integrated co-occurring disorders treatment.

Offers a short-term, intensive day-treatment program for adults with acute psychiatric needs. Can be used as a step-down for patients who are discharging from inpatient care or as a preventative step to help stabilize patients in the community.

Focus of care is building effective coping skills to improve self-management in their home setting. Partial hospitalization allows participants to continue to meet personal responsibilities and maintain independence while receiving intensive treatment. Treatment modalities are tailored to meet each participant’s needs and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) principles. The program embraces a trauma-informed environment of care.
Participants attend 20 hours of treatment per week for 10-15 program days.

Partial Hospitalization Program offered at Fairfax Hospital
Offers an intensive program of support and structure for individuals in which outpatient treatment is not sufficient to meet the level of acuity, or as a transition from inpatient treatment. Serves adults and adolescents.
An adult or teen who requires an intensive program of support and structure but does not require 24-hour supervision may be a candidate for Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This level of care may be appropriate when outpatient treatment is not sufficient to meet the level of acuity, or as a transition from inpatient treatment to help reintegrate the individual back to home, community and work environments. Provides a group-oriented program design focusing on education, skill development, relationships and transition. An Individual Treatment Plan is developed and managed for each patient using a multi-disciplinary treatment team including a psychiatrist, nurse and clinical therapist. Education and treatment of co-occurring disorder are available.

Offers comprehensive treatment for anxiety and depression in a day treatment setting. Treatment includes group therapy, skills training, individual therapy, family therapy and medication management.

Treatment is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and includes group therapy, skills training, individual therapy, family therapy and medication management. Each patient is individually assessed by DBT trained providers and reviewed by a board certified psychiatrist to determine the appropriate level of care and to address any medication/medical needs.
Clients may also participate in daily yoga, recreational therapy, art therapy, life skills and planning groups, tutoring and vocational support and meals.
