Provides Somali, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, and African-American support groups, where residents can share support, build connections, celebrate cultural identity and heritage, practice language skills and receive culturally-appropriate resources.

Organizations that work for the preservation and promotion of the traditions, values and lifestyles of different cultural groups; organize activities and events which promote cultural exchange locally, regionally and nationally; and seek to encourage understanding and respect for different cultural heritages among youthful members of the group as well as the mainstream population.

Cultural Heritage Groups

Mutual support groups whose members are immigrants, refugees, temporary workers and other newcomers. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and allow participants to share their experience, strengths and hopes to solve the problems they have in common and to address the cultural transition and quality of life issues that affect them all.

Immigrant/Refugee Support Groups

Programs that help international students and others whose first language is other than English develop their English language skills by arranging for people (usually volunteers) to spend time conversing with them enabling them to practice their English. Included are both one-to-one and group situations.

Conversation Partners

Programs that maintain information about community resources that are appropriate for a specific target group or human services sector (for example, youth programs or addiction services) and which link individuals who are in need of specialized services with appropriate resources and/or which provide information about community agencies and organizations that offer specialized services.

Specialized Information and Referral

Provides support for undocumented West Africans and their families in Washington State.
