Spiritual Abuse Forum for Education offered at People Leave Cults

Programs that provide emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance for people who are questioning their religion or experiencing a loss of faith, are leaving a religion, particularly a fundamentalist one, are converting to a new religion, or have questions relating to religious or spiritual values; are having experiences such as visions or near-death experiences which they are having difficulty interpreting and integrating; or are clergymen or women or others who no longer have a religious vocation and want to leave their cloistered lives.

Spiritual/Religious Issues Counseling

Mutual support groups whose members are individuals who are questioning their religion or experiencing a loss of faith, willingly or unwillingly leaving a religion (particularly a fundamentalist one), converting to a new religion, or who have questions relating to religious or spiritual values; are having experiences such as visions or near-death experiences which they are having difficulty interpreting and integrating; or are clergymen or women or others who are losing their religious vocation and want to leave their order. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and allow participants to share their experience, strengths and hopes and resolve any ambivalence they may have as they begin a new life.

Religion/Spirituality Related Support Groups

Mutual support groups whose members are people who are former members of an intense, closed group such as a cult and victims of psychological manipulation. Their families and friends may also be welcome. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and allow participants to share their experience, strengths and hopes and put their lives back together.

Cult Related Support Groups

Virtual support groups for victims of cults and spiritual abusive groups, as well as their families and friends. Focus on LGBTIA+ individuals.

Support Groups offered at People Leave Cults

One on one session between victims of abusive groups and a cult recovery professional.

Cult Recovery Services offered at People Leave Cults

Helps families interested in the possibility of intervention with their loved one who may be involved in an abusive group or relationship. Each case is assessed by a multi-disciplinary team of cult specialists, including mental health professionals.
