Also offers Environmental Alliance, which provides information on how to prepare homes for evacuation procedures, evacuation kits.

Builds youth leadership through hands-on learning and community service.
Helps youth become involved in the community by offering various clubs and projects to get involved and learn through hands-on activities. 4-H Clubs in Jefferson County include the following free project areas: rabbits, robotics, cats, gardening, video, disc golf, llamas, public speaking, leadership, dogs, horses, sewing, engineering, web design, goats, community service, and other opportunities. 4-H free special events and activities include: teen works programs, camps, summer programs, after school programs, conferences, field trips and more.

Offers outdoor programs designed for youth groups. Programs are designed with group leaders to meet the educational goals of the group.
Offers outdoor programs designed for youth groups. Programs are built in collaboration with group leaders to meet the educational goals of the group. Offers single-day experiences, though most groups schedule multiple days over the course of a season or year to provide multiple outdoor experiences for their youth, each experience building on the other.
Broken into 1 hour or ½ hour activity blocks depending on the age group, the curriculum is designed to match the goals of the visiting group and impart on the youth participants a desire to explore and conserve the outdoors. Provides a flexible, hands-on curriculum teaches safety and appreciation for the environment. Educates participants in skills applicable to almost anything youth will do for the rest of their lives: communication, planning, overcoming obstacles, and team-work.
Activities include rock climbing (indoors or outdoors, weather-dependent), rappelling (ages 10+; must be combined with rock climbing), belaying (ages 13+; must be combined with rock climbing, outdoor cooking), navigation, First Aid, Leave No Trace & 10 Essentials.
