Parents for Parents Program offered by Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center
Offers support groups for parents involved in a dependency with Child Protective Services (CPS). Mentors are parents who, in the past, have successfully navigated the system and reunified with their children.
Parents for Parents is a peer to peer program, led by parent allies.
A parent ally is a parent who has previously navigated the child welfare system.
We offer classes called Dependency 101 and Dependency 201 for parents involved with the child welfare system.
We can pair a newly involved parent with a parent ally for ongoing mentorship and support.
This program is available statewide.

Offers classes and support groups for parents of children with disabilities. Offers additional parent classes and individual counseling sessions for parents who are experiencing parenting challenges.
FULFILLS COURT ORDERED REQUIREMENTS.
Offers resources for parents of children with disabilities. Includes Father's Network, for fathers of children with disabilities; and SibShops, for siblings of children with disabilities. Offers parenting groups in Pierce County. Facilitated by professionals who have experienced the ups & downs of parenting a baby. The groups do not use set curriculums but address the concerns and topics brought by participants. See details for more information.

Unless otherwise noted, babies, partners, support people and other caregivers are welcome.
Facilitators have had a minimum of 24 hours of training in facilitation, perinatal emotional health and wellness, and group dynamics.
Frequent themes include:
- feelings of exhaustion, loneliness, worry, and anxiety
- guilt or feelings of self-doubt
- changes to and challenges with our relationships (partner, friends, work, and more)
- the paradox of loving our baby AND struggling with the loss of freedom and identity
- desires to better understand and care for our babies
- the invisibility of our daily accomplishments
- financial concerns and going back to work, and so much more
- the unexpected difficulty of this period, and the loss of our hoped for experience (childbirth, maternity leave, etc)

Connects men who have a child(ren) with special needs in their lives through support groups and social activities, some for just men, others that are family oriented. Maintains local chapters around the state.
