Financial assistance to help stay housed, gain or retain employment, support educational goals leading to employment, or meet basic needs. Intended for emergent or one-time situations.
The Resource Access Team is a multifunctional customer service team within the Department of Community and Human Services that will serve as a centralized information and resource referral system, making it easier for residents of King County to access the services they need. The Resource Access Team aims to help residents connect to resources, navigate services, or bridge short-term financial gaps.
The Resource Access Team may provide financial assistance to King County residents to help them gain or retain employment, support educational goals leading to employment, or meet basic needs, including but not limited to food, healthcare, shelter, childcare, transportation and safety. Resource Access Financial Assistance is intended for emergent or one-time situations and not intended for recurrent or regular needs.
The Resource Access Team does not provide rental assistance.
Emergency Assistance Vouchers offered at St Vincent de Paul - East Jefferson County
Assist with emergency, temporary, or short term need by providing vouchers. Clients leave a message. Calls are returned by volunteers M-Th who will try to schedule a face-to-face meeting to asses need and decide on appropriate assistance.
Assistance with emergency, temporary, or short term needs. Assistance provided is **never** given in cash, but may be given as vouchers or as checks mailed directly to a landlord or utility company. Does not offer a food pantry.
Emergency Financial Counseling and Grants offered by Support The Enlisted Project
Provides financial counseling and grants among junior active duty enlisted members and recently discharged enlisted Veterans and their families facing financial crisis.
Provides financial counseling and may help with a grant to cover critical needs for qualifying military households.

Veterans Assistance Relief Fund offered at American Legion Poulsbo Post 245 Veteran's Service Office
Assist with filing for VA disability and benefits. As well, by providing financial cash grants. Grants are for needs such as: food, rent, utilities, transportation, medical expenses, burial/cremation, home/appliance/auto repairs, and clothing.
Washington State law and the Kitsap County code have established the Veterans Assistance Fund as a steady source of tax dollars to be utilized for the needs of indigent veterans and their families. A portion of property tax collected in Kitsap County is earmarked for the VAF. The overall goal is to assist all veterans-in-the-need back into mainstream society by ensuring they understand all the programs available to them. Servicemember or eligible family members who have an emergency need should contact the nearest NMCRS location and make an appointment to be seen by an NMCRS caseworker. Bring your ID card and latest LES, if available, with you. If that office is closed and the emergency is of such a nature that it cannot wait until the next business day (e.g. death in the immediate family), the answering machine will provide instructions for obtaining "after hours" assistance. When there is no NMCRS office in the area, an available Army Emergency Relief, Coast Guard Mutual Aid, or American Red Cross Chapter Office can process your request on behalf of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
