Provide activities and events that promote healthy food, gardening, active living and building community within the Salishan neighborhood. Teaches people things they can do to keep their family healthy in ways that make sense culturally. Helps people understand how to prevent or manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Helps neighbors understand instructions from their doctors and on their prescriptions. Connects residents with resources and assists with applying for services. Advocates are people who live in the Salishan community and who are trained in various topics related to chronic disease prevention and management. They use their talents, knowledge and skills to improve their own health and to model new healthy behaviors for their friends and families. Advocates come from many languages and cultures including: Spanish, Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese, Thai, Russian and more.

Provides health and safety education and training including first aid, CPR, blood borne pathogen training, swimming, life guarding, HIV/AIDS education and Babysitter's Training.

The Caregiver Support Center offers an opportunity for unpaid caregivers helping an adult in Kitsap County to meet with a case manager, check out books from a lending library, and obtain brochures, tip sheets, and resource lists at no cost. Unpaid caregivers may also inquire about scholarship eligibility for caregiver training, education, or workshop opportunities.

Provides practical and emotional support services to children and their families who have been affected by childhood cancer. Families are served from diagnosis through treatment, and bereavement through monthly support groups, family activities and events, teen groups, emergency funds, scholarships, and food pantries and meal programs at local hospitals.
