Caregiver Training, Information, and Education offered at Kitsap County Division of Aging and Long-Term Care - Caregiver Support Center
Offers information, education, counseling, and training options and referrals to help caregivers learn about community resources, care and self-care, obtain medical equipment, nutrition, legal resources, and other services.
The Caregiver Support Center offers an opportunity for unpaid caregivers, helping an adult in Kitsap County, to meet with a case manager, check out books from a lending library, and obtain brochures, tip sheets, and resource lists at no cost. Unpaid caregivers may also inquire about scholarship eligibility for caregiver training, education, or workshop opportunities.

Offers free assistive technology device demonstrations to help people with disabilities make informed decisions about the devices and services they need for employment, education, independent living and use of information technology.
Provides guidance and consultation to help people with disabilities make informed decisions about the AT devices and services they need for employment, education, independent living and use of information technology.
The devices support activities such as daily living, augmentative and alternative communication, seeing, hearing, learning, mobility, computer access, and recreation.
This gives individuals with disabilities, their families, and professionals the opportunity to try out and compare devices.
This often helps consumers decide which device is right for them, or whether a solution that is not technology might be best.
