Provides eye and hearing screenings, eyeglasses, and hearing aids. Donations of used eyeglasses and hearing aids are accepted by the Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (Olympia, WA) or any Lions Club, which are sorted, cleaned, and prepared for distribution within the community.

The Lion's Club helps low income residents obtain eyeglasses, vision exams, and hearing aids.  They can arrange for seeing eye dogs, coordinate with the NW Lions Foundation, and a local physician for organ donations. They can also provide information and referrals.  Eligibility is determined on an individual basis. When funds are low, priority is given to youth.  They also participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

We will work with you to troubleshoot challenging communication situations and guide you towards successful interactions.

Helps low income residents receive new hearing aids.  The Lions Club works in conjunction with local providers and the Starkey Foundation to provide new hearing aids for a low co-pay of $50.

Provides free hearing aids for those in need who have audiology evaluation documents.

Provides free comprehensive audiological (hearing) testing services. Also provides advanced technology in hearing aids sales and service.

Provides hearing-related assistance through three different programs, including free or low-cost hearing aids. Assistance is available on a first come first served basis, as funds are available. Custom hearing aids are not available.

Provides telephone and signaling devices for people who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing, late deafened and speech disabled. Devices include telecommunications equipment (TTYs, amplified telephones, telebraille, etc. ) and signaling alert devices.

Provides refurbished hearing aids as well as hearing tests. Works with audiologists who have agreed to the terms of the program and donated their time at a reduced rate.

Helps low-income individuals in getting one behind the ear hearing aid.
