The VA will only pay for classes that are required toward a degree or a VA-approved program of study.

Veteran Navigators offer the following services for incoming and current veteran students: -  Helps incoming students choose educational and vocational goals. -  Provides assistance with benefit paperwork as well as paperwork relating to other federal grants or scholarships they may be eligible for. -  Assists the potential veteran/dependent/spouse student with completing the admission process for the college.   Offer a 25% tuition discount to veterans that have received an Honorable discharge from the military.   Offers eligible veterans, National Guard members, and their spouses who are using veteran's benefits early registration for our classes/programs.

Seattle Central's Student Veterans Support Program assists veteran students, their dependents and partners with the tools and resources to successfully navigate the transition from military to college life. United States veterans, active duty, National Guard & Reserve military personnel, their spouses and dependents can access a variety of educational benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other programs to help pay for their education at Seattle Central College. To be eligible for educational benefits, you should enroll in VA–approved degree and certificate programs.

WCC offers degree programs approved by the Washington State Approving Agency for the enrollment of those students who are eligible under Veteran Administration (VA) Education Benefits programs. Eligible veterans and dependents of veterans must apply for admission to the college and should contact the WCC's VA office as early as possible before enrolling.  Staff in WCC's VA office submit applications for benefits to the Veterans Administration on behalf of students and certify their quarterly enrollments.

DAV provides confidential, free service to help veterans and their families with VA claims.

Provides assistance regarding veteran-entitled benefits, such as preparing VA application forms and documentation required by the Department of Veterans Affairs.   All veterans expecting to receive VA educational benefits should contact the Veteran Affairs office as early as possible to obtain appropriate forms and instructions.   May also be able to provide a tuition reduction.   Services are offered at the Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS) and Financial Aid.

Transportation Assistance Available Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4pm. Provides veterans with a door to door service to medical appointments in Thurston County, or to the American Lake VA Medical Center. Call (360) 456-3850 by noon of the day prior to the appointment. Financial Management Available by appointment. Legal Assistance Available the 2nd and 4th W from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Nutrition Assistance Food Bank available every day during normal business hours. Lacey Vet Center - Outstation Counselors are available by appointment only. Services include individual, group, marriage/family, couples, bereavement, military sexual trauma and PTSD counseling. All counseling services are free and confidential. Veterans Housing Options Group - VHOG Provides information on housing resources for veterans who are experiencing homeless, or are at high risk for experiencing homelessness. Includes information on VA, WDVA, SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families), Sidewalk, Family Support Center, Salvation Army and WorkSource.

CPTC Vet Corp Veterans Navigator and Peer Navigators are available to assist current and prospective military-connected students with accessing benefits as well as providing referrals to a number of campus and community resources with the goal of helping veterans balance their academic and personal demands. Military & Veteran Programs is your one-stop shop to accessing your VA Education, Military Tuition Assistance, MyCAA benefits, and additional support services at Olympic College, located at the Bremerton Campus in Bldg. 11. The Military Education Benefits team assists in the processing and certification of educational benefits (VA, TA, MyCAA). The Military Education Benefits team also provides support services including assistance with admissions, eBenefits, Web TA, advising appointments, and referrals.
