Offers pre-college level courses in reading, writing, study skills, arithmetic and English language skills for students who want to gain, or improve, their academic skills.   Adult Basic Education (ABE)   Provides reading, writing, math, English, spelling, and adult practical literacy (consumer education). Instruction is individualized and classes are held in a variety of facilities.   GED Classes Classes help improve reading, writing and math in order to pass the GED test. Classes are also held in Spanish. Highline College is a testing center certified to administer the GED test through the GED Testing Service of the American Council on Education.  Individuals 16 years of age or older may earn a certificate of educational competence with a satisfactory score on the General Educational Development test.  Arrangements for taking the test may be made through the Testing Center. Special testing arrangements for students with disabilities are available.   High School Completion Offers students who have had their high school education interrupted an opportunity to earn their High School diploma through Highline College.  Must be age 21 or older.

Courses offered in person or online. Basic Computer Skills Provides a low-cost, non credit course to help people improve their computer skills. Includes basic computer operations, email, zoom, canvas, Word, PowerPoint, keyboarding and more. English as a Second Language (ESOL) Offers six levels of classes to help non-native speakers of English improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. High School+ Allows students age 18 and older to earn a high school diploma. It is a competency based GED alternative and meets the requirements for a high school diploma for employment, financial aid applications, and admission to a community or technical college. Traditional GED prep classes and testing are also available. I-Best Allows students to increase literacy and work skills. Two instructors are in the classroom, toe to teach the professional/technical skills, and the other instructor teaches reading, writing, math or English language.

Provides meals, shelter, school and case management for homeless and at-risk youth. Crosswalk is an emergency shelter, a school drop-out prevention program, and a group of lifesaving and life-changing programs dedicated to breaking the cycle of youth homelessness. Emergency shelter is available 365 days a year and all services are free and voluntary.
