Alternative School offered by Auburn School District No. 408 at West Auburn High School
Operates an alternative school for senior high school students with a special program for teen parents.
Offers an alternative high school for students who are unable to achieve success in the traditional high school program or who require a more independent course of study.
Provides a flexible scheduling with a strong emphasis on basic work and vocational skills.
A special program and nursery are provided at the school for teen-aged parents.
Addresses many social problems of our day including: divorced family issues; single parent issues; adoptive family issues; poor academic achievement, along with many others.
Flying H Youth Ranch is currently serving a capacity of 16 boys, emphasizing concern for helping entire families and encouraging faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible.
Residents often arrive with little ability to build meaningful relationships, control impulses, achieve academically, or form responsible moral codes. The program addresses many social problems of our day including: divorced family issues; single parent issues; adoptive family issues; poor academic achievement, along with many others. The focus of this program is primarily on character development as defined by Biblical standards.
The development of character is measured through interaction between the staff and the residents in the following categories:

Provides a small, personal, academic vocational program for students who are unable to succeed in a more traditional environment.
Operates an academic-vocational program customized for students in grades six through 12 who are more successfully taught in a smaller, more personalized setting.
