Department of Agriculture - Food additives - Infant formulas - Dietary supplements - Human drugs - Vaccines, blood products, and other biologics - Medical devices, from simple items like tongue depressors, to complex technologies such as heart pacemakers - Electronic products that give off radiation, such as microwave ovens and X-ray equipment - Cosmetics - Feed, drugs, and devices used in pets, farm animals, and other animals - Tobacco products

Provides complaint investigation services about products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical or mechanical hazard or are potentially dangerous to children.
Consumers may call the National Hotline or visit website to report a potentially dangerous product or to report a product-related injury.
Following a thorough investigation, the Commission determines if the product constitutes a public hazard.
Product changes may then be required and fines may be levied against the non-conforming corporations.
The National Hotline has Spanish-speaking capabilities.
Does not regulate the safety of the following:
