Volunteer Medical and Social Transportation offered by Eastside Friends of Seniors
Provides free transportation through volunteers to adults 60 and older, for errands such as grocery shopping and medical appointments. Accepting clients from only the Greater ISSAQUAH and SAMMAMISH area currently. ONE WEEK ADVANCE NOTICE.
Volunteers drive seniors to essential destinations for:
- Health services
- Grocery shopping
- To prevent social isolation
As volunteers are available, destinations may also include:
- Beauty or barber shop
- Recreation or socialization beyond what is necessary to prevent social isolation
- Errands such as post-office, bank, attorney, veterinarian, gym.
If necessary, volunteers provide door-through-the-door service and may also provide escort service for errands/shopping as needed (to help those with visual impairments navigate through the supermarket, for example). Transportation to appointments outside the greater Issaquah/Sammamish may be limited.

Arranges transportation to and from eligible Medicaid covered medical services to anyone with a valid DSHS ProviderOne ID card with no other form of transportation.
Arranges transportation to and from eligible Medicaid covered medical services to anyone with a valid DSHS ProviderOne ID card, who has no other form of transportation. The Medicaid Broker will arrange for the lowest cost, most suitable option for the client's needs. This may include bus passes or tickets, gas vouchers, mileage reimbursement, volunteer drivers, shared rides, or a wheelchair lift-equipped vehicle. Transportation will be arranged for trips within the local community. Transportation outside of the local community may be available if certain criteria are met.

Provides a commuter Rideshare program and ride-match service. Hundreds of groups serving the Puget Sound region. Vehicles are assigned to approved groups and are driven by volunteers who share the commute trip.
A Pierce Transit Rideshare is a group of 5-15 people sharing the ride in a 7-,12-, or 15- passenger vehicle traveling for employment.
Serves groups whose trip origin or destination is within Pierce County.
Participants pay a low monthly fare that includes fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
Hundreds of Rideshare groups serve the Puget Sound region.
Pierce Transit owns, manages, maintains, insures, and licenses each vehicle.

In Home Caregiver Services offered by Advanced Health Care
Provides a caregiver for personal care, household tasks and transportation services to clients. Transportation services are to and from medical appointments, including for outpatient surgeries and procedures. This is not a free service.

Also provides temporary home care services following surgery, an illness or accident.

- providing rides to clients that are coming from appointments that require sedation.

Community Services offered by King County Sheriff's Offices' Community Service Officers
Provides transportation in emergency situations. Offers crisis intervention for DV victims. Handles runaway cases. CSOs are unarmed - they will not respond to situations involving weapons or violent behavior.
Provides conflict resolutions in non-violent situations, victim assistance, referrals, and information on social services.
Community Service Officers are the unarmed section of the police department; they will not respond to situations involving weapons or violent behavior.
Care Van offered by Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation
Provides non-emergency transportation to local hospitals, pharmacies or medical offices including physicians, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, and therapists. Must live in service area with an appointment in the service area.

Fixed Route Bus Service offered at Lewis County Transit
This service is for the general public. Includes passengers able to navigate to the bus stop and ride to their destination independently. Connects riders to locations in Centralia/Chehalis, Morton, Kelso and Olympia. Routes operate daily, routes to Morton and Kelso are M-F.
