Provides Veterans with rent assistance, rental deposit assistance, move-in assistance, mortgage assistance, utility assistance, food vouchers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bus passes or gas vouchers, prescription drug expenses, clothing or tools for work, car repair, storage unit assistance, communication assistance, homeless services, emergency dental costs, and burial/cremation costs. Individual types of assistance have separate requirements and limits.

Provides professional, interview-appropriate, and casual women’s clothing for low-income individuals seeking employment, making court appearances, or caring for family members. With the support of a personal shopper during 90-minute appointments, clients select outfits suitable to meet their needs, free of charge. Clients may visit the closet once a year and are encouraged to return for additional clothing annually. Free childcare available upon request.

Offers a 5-week program providing assistance with job readiness, job search, work training and labor market information through workshops, computer resources and case management. Program participants may also get assistance with obtaining work-appropriate clothing. Workshops and case management offer the following services to all students enrolled: - Mentorship Life Skills & Training - Earn Certifications (Industrial First Aid/CPR, Flaggers, Food Handler Permit) - Financial Empowerment - Resume & Cover Letter Assistance - Job Connections - Wrap-Around Services Job announcements provided are current postings from private industry, city, county and state employers.

Assist clients with clothing/interview clothing, emergency food, care/hygiene kits, and some camping supplies when available. Offers vouchers for laundry and propane when funding is available.

Distributes inexpensive clothing, kitchen appliances and housewares.

We offer prepacked boxes or a bag consisting of non-perishable items and occasionally breads, meats and produce from local grocery stores and the Food Lifeline program. Food and Clothing Donations are accepted during this time. Or you can call to arrange a drop off with the office.

Offers free hot dinners to those in need, essential assistance, pantry items, and clothing. Also offers community service hours for military, high school students, and those who need to complete them for court requirements.

Provides clients with access to a career center and mentors in support of job searching or career transitions. Offers personalized appointments to outfit under- or un-employed women and nonbinary people with interview-appropriate clothing. Clients who secure a job are invited to join the professional group, a job retention program with monthly meetings, coaches, expert speakers, and professional networking with peers.

Offers unemployed and underemployed womxn an individualized professional clothing closet experience.

Provides women professional clothing on a case by case basis for a new job and/or interview. Donations of career outfits, accessories, unused makeup, and coupons for haircuts are appreciated.

Provides access to reusable clothing items for adult job seekers. Assists low-income adults with quality, reusable clothing and accessories appropriate for office work, interviews, and other self-sufficiency activities. The inventory changes often and can be limited in quantity, style, and size. Feminine and masculine clothing items are available. Clothing is not to be exchanged or returned.

Operates a store where all items sold have been donated by generous members of the North Central Washington community, including both private and business donations. Also provides beneficial hands-on job training to residents, giving them the necessary skills, experience, and education they need to go on to other employment opportunities. Makes quality clothing available for individuals that are working towards self-sufficiency, including a new job, interview, or are new to the professional work force. This service is free to participants in local employment preparation programs and students in high school and secondary schools.

- Stable Housing: Provides immediate access to low-barrier shelter, rental assistance, eviction prevention, rental deposit, motel vouchers, etc. to create a sustainable solution and avert cycles of recurring homelessness. - Family Reconciliation: Diverting youth from the homeless system back to family and natural supports whenever possible. - Permanent Connections: Includes engaging youth in family, school, and community connection activities. - Education & Employment Support: Supports education and employment goals by covering education and employment related costs. Expenses associated with enrolling and attending school may include GED tests, school IDs, school supplies, college applications, or placement test fees. Expenses associated with obtaining or maintaining employment may include interview clothing, work uniforms/shoes, licensing or certification costs, state ID, haircuts, or other costs that contribute to employment. - Support for Improved Social & Emotional Well-being: Crisis services, such as referrals and connections to health and behavioral health care services, engaging youth in community and familial activities, and encouraging connections to cultural, community, and trust-worthy adults. - May also provide items necessary to help an emergent need, such as: food, water, clothing, hygiene products, first aid, baby formula, diapers, medical prescriptions, winter gear, tents, sleeping bags, etc. All services are subject to approval per program guidelines.

Free clothing and small household items for low income Spokane Valley families.  

Operates a clothing bank which provides free clothing and shoes for infants, children and adults. Also has hygiene products, bags and backpacks, and bedding available depending on donations.

Assists with a wide range of employment support services for youth ages 18-24, including resume building, cover letter writing, guided job search, life skills, mock interviews, completing applications, supplies, clothing, and employment-related fuel assistance/monthly bus passes.

Offers up to two bags of free women's clothing, accessories and personal hygiene items to low-income or homeless women in Seattle. Types of clothing include: women's casual, business clothing and accessories (such as shoes, belts, make-up, purses, scarves and hats).

Works with 18 churches to distribute food each weekday and assists financially with several emergency needs including medical, dental, and prescription bills, utility bills, propane and firewood needed for heating and cooking, work clothing, immunizations, and glasses (no contact lenses assistance available). All financial assistance is provided to the vendor on behalf of the community member.

A partnership between Women United, Visiting Nurses Foundation, the Career Closet and several community partners that allows participants to select up to five items of professional business attire, in preparation for a job interview or first few weeks of work. In addition, the community partners also provide tools and resources to help with employment. M-Sa, 9am-6pm; Su, 11am-5pm Women working to lift themselves out of poverty often struggle over a variety of hurdles. Even something as simple as a job interview can be difficult if one lacks the appropriate attire to make a positive first impression. The Career Closet eliminates this hurdle, empowering women to attain financial independence in a new career by providing work-appropriate attire and resources.

A secondhand store offering women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Proceeds will benefit YWCA Bellingham's housing programs, which offer safe shelter and support to over 40 women in need in our community.
