Centralized access point for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to connect to the programs and services they need. Services include shelter placement and housing/safe parking programs.
Provides telephone and/or in-person screening and assessment for households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Telephone screenings are provided for emergency shelter (men's, women's, couples, and families) and winter shelter, including severe weather sites and homeless safe parking programs. Households are assessed for eligibility for rental assistance/housing programs (prevention, rapid re-housing, transitional, and permanent supportive), as well as diversion programs. Funding is limited and assistance is not guaranteed.

Extreme Weather Shelter offered at Salvation Army - Bremerton
Provides a warm place to stay. Accepts adults, couples, families, youth, and pets. Must check in between 7pm and before 8:45pm.
November 1-Early 2025 Provides a warm place to stay over the winter months. All persons may arrive at the shelter. All persons entering the shelter will be asked to sign in. There will not be a background check performed. All belongings will be checked in. No one will be looking at what you check, however if you elect to keep something on your person such as a weapon or contraband it would be cause for you to be asked to leave and may be turned over to law enforcement. You may keep things needed for the night like a teddy bear, book, or medications. While in the shelter there will be no use of drugs or alcohol and smoking will only be allowed off property in designated areas before 8:45pm. Guests are expected to follow the basic rules of conduct, no fighting or disturbing others while you are in the shelter and will be asked to leave if you do not follow shelter rules. No food will be served at the shelter, but beverages will be available.
