Open Doors is a 24/7 low-barrier, a walk-in Emergency shelter for Homeless Families with children under 18, including pregnant women and grandparents with children. Open Doors provides shelter, supportive day services, and case management. Applicants must be screened via the number 509-747-5487.
The Family Promise Emergency Shelter is a 24/7 low-barrier walk-in emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness. They define a family as any person(s) caring for a minor child and/or who is pregnant. The Emergency Shelter provides day services such as showers, laundry, kitchen, and food access, computers, case management support, and a safe, secure night shelter. Those interested should call 509-747-5487 to check on shelter space availability.
Offering daytime shelter services for young adults 18-24 years old. Couples are welcome, all genders/identities welcome, only pets that have emotional support/service animal documentation allowed. Laundry and shower services are located at the Crosswalk shelter.
The Young Adult Shelter is open 24/7 for young adults aged 18-24 years old. The shelter staff provide safe and secure overnight services as well as case management and housing resource specialists. All genders and identities are welcome as well as couples.

Intake is usually available in Spanish as well as English; other available languages at intake vary, though clients are able to access shelter regardless of language or ability to speak.
All facilities provide mats and blankets. Many sites are wheelchair accessible and some provide shower facilities.
Clients must leave the shelters early each morning.
Individual shelters may potentially refrain from screening on days that they are full.

Provides 80 beds in a dorm area. As well as accommodating eighty men at night, the facility accommodates day sleepers who work night shifts.

Extended stay is possible for men who have jobs and who are trying to become self-sufficient. Men are guaranteed a spot for 30 days if they have not stayed with the Rescue Mission in the past 90 days. The Good Neighbor Cafe is on site and offers free breakfast, lunch and supper. Other services at the Downtown Tacoma Campus include:

- and a free clothing room open Wednesday from 1pm-3pm.
Hope House is an emergency shelter with on-site permanent housing for single women 18 and older. Also offering case management, free laundry, 3 meals per day and pet friendly (service animals only, must have papers). Check in by 4:30pm.
