Operates a food pantry that distributes groceries to anyone in need. Can sometimes provide emergency food outside regular food pantry hours, or respond to specific dietary needs, when able. 

Types of food usually available include the following:
- Baby food
- Pet food
- Special diet food, including gluten free, diabetic, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, etc. 
- No-cook food
- Fresh food including bread, produce, dairy and other perishables

Operates a food pantry that distributes groceries to anyone in need in the Kenmore area.

Programs that provide food that excludes meat, poultry, game fish, shellfish or crustacea and slaughter by-products. Varieties of vegetarian food include vegan food (only foods of plant origin), pescatarian food (plant foods plus fish), lacto-vegetarian food (plant foods plus some or all dairy products) and lacto-ovo-vegetarian food (plant foods, dairy products and eggs). Vegetarian diets include grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs.

Vegetarian Food

Programs that provide food that has been slaughtered (in the case of meat), stored and prepared in accordance with Jewish dietary laws.

Kosher Food

Programs that acquire food products through donations, canned food drives, food bank programs or direct purchase and distribute the food to people who are in emergency situations. Some pantries deliver food to people whose disabilities or illnesses make it difficult for them to leave home.

Food Pantries

Programs that supply dried or canned dog or cat food, bird seed, fodder or other types of sustenance for animals and other creatures that people keep as pets. Also included are programs that provide financial assistance that enables owners to purchase food for their pets.

Pet Food

Programs that provide food that is suitable for people who, because of food allergies or intolerances, medical problems or other issues, require a special diet, e.g., a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet for heart disease, a low-sodium diet for high blood pressure or a low-calorie diet for weight reduction.

Special Diet Food

Programs that supply infant formula and/or baby food, usually in addition to other groceries.

Formula/Baby Food

Programs that provide food that can be eaten cold for people who are homeless or for others who have no access to food preparation facilities.

No Cook Food

Food distribution programs that provide fruits, vegetables, baked goods, deli items, dairy products and other perishables. Some programs offer locally grown fresh foods as a part of a movement toward locally based food sustainability.

Fresh Food

Programs that provide gluten-free foods including breads, baking mixes, cookies, crackers, snacks, pastas, convenience and prepared meals, vitamins and baking supplies for people who have Celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis (a gluten induced skin sensitivity) or other food intolerances. Gluten is a mixture of plant proteins that occurs in cereal grains, chiefly corn and wheat but also oat and barley. It gives cohesiveness to dough and may be used as a flour substitute.

Gluten Free Food

Operates a weekly food bank on Mondays from 10am-1pm for anyone in need. 
Depending on donations, may have the following foods:  
- Vegan food 
- Fresh food (bread, dairy products, produce) 
- Pre-made foods (sandwiches, salads, soups) 
- Kosher food

South Lake Union Food Bank offered at Immanuel Community Services

Operates a weekly food pantry for anyone in need. No ID required; visit in person.

JFS has been providing free food to our community for close to 100 years. We provide healthy, culturally appropriate food, with dignity and respect, to individuals and families throughout the Puget Sound region.
Home Delivery: Volunteers pick up pre-made bags of groceries and make contact-free deliveries to community members in need.

Polack Food Bank offered by Jewish Family Service Seattle

Operates a food bank for all people regardless of zip code. Offers kosher food for families who keep a kosher kitchen. Occasional pet food and personal hygiene as available. Clients may visit once a week.

Food markets that accept online and/or telephone orders and deliver food and household supplies to the homes of people who are unable to go out and shop on their own behalf or who prefer to have their groceries delivered. Also included are food pantries that deliver the food to people with illnesses, disabilities, transportation issues or other extenuating circumstances which prevent them from picking it up; and programs that place online orders for older adults, people with disabilities and individuals who are struggle with using a computer or have no Internet access.
