Student Legal Services offered by University of Washington

Provides subsidized legal advice and representation for UW students at the Seattle and Bothell campuses.   Assists students in understanding their rights and responsibilities so they can make educated legal choices.   Provides analysis, advice, resource, and/or referrals during the free 40 minute confidential consultation.

Fee

Consultations are free. Ongoing representation is $20/hour for most legal issues.

Eligibility

Students at UW-Seattle or Bothell campuses who is currently paying the Services & Activities Fee. Also serves those who are off for no more than one quarter; ie. not enrolled in summer but returning in the fall.   Cannot assist UW-Tacoma students, or when the opposing party is another UW-Seattle or Bothell student or UW entity.
