Home Acquisition offered at Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity
Helps low-income individuals and families attain homeownership. New houses are built through contributions and volunteer labor and are then sold at cost to carefully screened families who pay an interest-free mortgage. Builds 1-3 homes and rehabilitates 6-15 homes annually, on average. Volunteer opportunities available.

$20 per adult applicant for credit check. Fees vary with program.
Eligibility
Must meet low-income per area guidelines. Families are selected based on need, inadequate housing, ability to pay, and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity. Beneficiaries are required to contribute 500 hours of sweat equity labor.
