Material Goods and Scholarships for Children offered by Grassroot Projects
Provides essential goods such as clothing and shoes, diapers, wipes, formula, school supplies etc. to children from low-income immigrant, refugee and undocumented families. Supplies may be picked up from a Renton location during a distribution event, delivered to the doorstep in person or shipped to families. Also offers scholarships for extra-curricular activities such as sports programs for elementary and middle school-age children.

Application process
Apply online or text. A specialist will call clients back to complete intake over the phone. Material goods are typically delivered to clients' homes by volunteers or mailed. Goods are generally delivered within 2 weeks. School supplies are available in July and August only.

Eligibility
Families living in Kent, Kirkland, Renton, Tukwila, Auburn, Federal Way, Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Everett, Lynnwood or Mountlake Terrace. Material goods are available to children ages 17 and younger from immigrant and refugee families with income at or below 30% of the Area Median Income. Clothing and shoes only for ages 12 and younger. Scholarships are open to all elementary and middle school-aged children (no high school) of families with income at or below 30% of the Area Median Income. Repeat assistance for the same item category available every six months.
