Financial Assistance Grants offered by RedRover

Offers two grants for animal care: RedRover Relief helps owners with animals who need immediate veterinary care to survive.   Not every applicant will receive assistance.   The typical grant is $200-$300, and is intended to fill a small gap in funding that is keeping an animal from care.   Decisions are based upon several factors, including: -  Medical urgency -  Financial need -  Available funding -  Eligibility Safe Escape Grants help with the cost of temporary pet boarding while a client is in a domestic violence shelter, though other costs associated with boarding (like vaccinations) can be considered. Grant applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Grants are awarded based upon several factors, including: - Urgency - Financial need - Available funding

Application process

RedRover Relief: Apply on website. Click on "RedRover RELIEF," in green button with umbrella. Safe Escape Grants: Applications must be submitted online by a domestic violence advocate, and a response via e-mail or by phone will be provided within one business day.

Eligibility

The owner must:   -  Be seeking assistance for one animal in need of urgent medical care in the next 10 days. -  Have obtained a diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. Program cannot pay for office exams or diagnostic testing. - Income must be less than $60,000/yr. -  Make a concerted fundraising effort, attempting to find funding through your own means and personal contacts. Website has suggestions for fundraising. -  Provide updates, photos and video if RedRover is able to help. -  Live in the United States.   The animal must: -  Have a life-threatening injury or illness that requires urgent and specific treatment. -  Have a favorable prognosis. For Safe Escape Grants, Owner must: - Live in the United States and be actively working with a domestic violence shelter. - They should be either currently staying at, or have plans to stay at, a domestic violence shelter. - Provide regular updates to domestic violence agency representative regarding pets
