Emergency Medical Care offered by Vashon Island Fire and Rescue
Provides basic life support through the Fire Department, with transportation to local hospitals as well as Advanced Life Support medical services and transportation through Medic One. Paramedics will provide treatment and transport in life threatening situations. Accepts newborn babies dropped off by the parent within 72 hours of birth. The parent shall not be prosecuted, remains anonymous, and will be asked for medical history.

Provides fire prevention and suppression and emergency medical and rescue. Offers training for Fire Fighter and EMT, and have career, part-time and volunteer programs for Firefighters, EMTs and Support personnel. Offers Explorer program to give high school age youth the experience of working at a fire department. Works with many volunteer groups to educate and cover emergency operations for Vashon.
