Provides electronic fingerprinting and concealed pistol licenses to residents of Pierce County. Fingerprinting: Provides inkless fingerprints on an FBI FD-258 card provided by South Sound 911. Fingerprints are done for things like: - concealed pistol license applications, - for certain licenses referred from the county Auditor's Office, - all other fingerprinting that will accept electronic prints on the FBI Card. Those who need ink prints, or prints on a different card, should go through the Washington State Patrol or a third-party fingerprint provider. Concealed Pistol License: Provides and accepts applications for a concealed pistol license (CPL). Serves all of Pierce County, though residents within the city limits of Bonney Lake, Buckley, Eatonville, Fife, Gig Harbor, Orting, Puyallup or Sumner should apply with their local police department. Residents in Tacoma, Lakewood, Edgewood, Roy, University Place and unincorporated Pierce County must apply through South Sound 911.
