Operates a legal clinic providing a free 30-minute consultation with an attorney. Clinic is open to all, but particular focus is on serving clients identifying as African American who face difficulty accessing the legal system due to income, language, disability, complexity of legal situation, etc.   Clinic attorneys can: -  Determine whether the client has a legal problem -  Suggest possible options -  Help answer papers, summons and requests -  Provide appropriate referrals   Neighborhood Legal Clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately. Attorneys CANNOT give advice on criminal legal issues or provide representation on any legal matters.

Visit website for online intake form. Those without internet access may call and leave a message with your name, phone number, and a brief description of your legal issue. Currently prioritizing housing, family, and employment discrimination issues. Appointments will be scheduled no further than 7 days out. Bring any pertinent documents to the appointment. Have in mind several questions to ask the attorney.

King County residents, or clients with a legal matter in King County. Clients must be 16 and older or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No income restrictions.
